Belt Conveyors
Description
EXTRUTEX Belt Conveyors
EXTRUTEX Belt Conveyors are designed for reliable, continuous conveying of plastic products, profiles, pipes, molded components, recycled materials and other bulk or piece materials in modern plastics processing plants. Developed with an Austria Design philosophy and manufactured in China at EXTRUTEX production facilities in Nanjing and Shanghai, the belt conveyor range combines practical industrial construction, adjustable conveying performance and flexible installation options for extrusion and material-handling applications.
A belt conveyor is often a simple-looking machine, but in a production line it plays an important role. The conveyor transfers material from one processing stage to another while maintaining a stable production flow. A correctly selected conveyor can reduce manual handling, improve workplace organization, protect finished products and help operators keep the entire production line running smoothly. EXTRUTEX offers standard belt conveyor configurations as well as customized lengths and arrangements according to customer requirements.
The SCB series is available in several belt widths and configurations. The standard range includes SCB-200, SCB-300, SCB-400 and SCB-500, together with trolley-type versions SCB-200T, SCB-300T, SCB-400T and SCB-500T. Depending on the model, conveying speed, belt width, power supply, overall dimensions and mechanical configuration can be selected for different production environments.
Industrial Belt Conveying for Plastics Processing
EXTRUTEX Belt Conveyors can be integrated into extrusion lines, injection molding plants, recycling systems, packaging areas and general material-handling operations. They are particularly useful when products need to be moved continuously over a controlled distance rather than manually transferred between machines.
In plastic extrusion, a conveyor may be positioned after cutting, sorting or production equipment to carry finished pieces toward a collection station, inspection area or packaging point. In injection molding, it can transfer molded products away from the production machine. In recycling and material-processing applications, a conveyor can be used for the controlled movement of processed pieces or other suitable materials.
The conveyor belt provides a stable moving surface, while the supporting frame and drive system are designed for continuous industrial operation. Depending on the configuration, the conveyor can be installed horizontally or at an angle. The SCB-T configuration is equipped with a practical trolley-style structure and can be used where mobility and positioning flexibility are important.
Performance Characteristics
- Reliable belt conveying: The PVC belt conveyor is equipped with an elastic device that helps maintain stable and reliable operation during continuous conveying.
- Adjustable conveying speed: The SCB belt conveyor can be equipped with a speed governor to adjust the conveying speed according to the production process.
- Adjustable working height: The conveyor height can be adjusted within the available mechanical range, helping operators match the conveyor to upstream and downstream equipment.
- Optional baffle plate: The SCB-T belt conveyor can be equipped with a baffle plate to help prevent products or materials from falling away from the conveying surface.
- Multiple belt widths: Standard belt widths include 200, 300, 400 and 500 mm, allowing the conveyor to be selected according to product size and conveying requirements.
- Standard and trolley configurations: The SCB and SCB-T versions provide different structural arrangements for stationary and mobile production-line requirements.
- Customizable length: Conveyor length can be customized according to customer requirements and the layout of the production line.
SCB Standard Belt Conveyor
The SCB standard configuration is designed for stable conveying in production environments where the conveyor is installed as a dedicated part of the production line. Standard models are available with belt widths from 200 to 500 mm. The supplied configurations use a single-phase 220 V power supply and a 60 W motor, with a specified conveying speed range of up to 9.5 m/min.
The SCB-200, SCB-300, SCB-400 and SCB-500 models share the same basic drive power and speed specification while providing different belt widths. As the belt becomes wider, the overall conveyor width and machine weight increase accordingly. This makes it possible to select a conveyor that matches the dimensions of the conveyed product without unnecessarily increasing the footprint of the equipment.
The standard SCB frame is suitable for integration into automated production lines and can be positioned according to the required material flow. The adjustable height range provides additional flexibility when connecting the conveyor with extrusion equipment, processing machines, workstations or collection tables.
SCB-T Trolley Belt Conveyor
The SCB-T series is designed for applications where a heavier-duty configuration and increased mobility are required. Models include SCB-200T, SCB-300T, SCB-400T and SCB-500T. These machines use a three-phase 380 V power supply and an 180 W motor, with a specified conveying speed of 5.5 m/min.
The trolley-type construction provides a practical solution for production areas where equipment may need to be repositioned. The structure can be used as part of flexible production layouts, while the larger frame and wheels allow the conveyor to be moved when the production arrangement changes.
SCB-T conveyors can also be supplied with a baffle plate for applications where the conveyed material must be kept securely on the belt. This is particularly useful for small molded parts, loose products or other materials that could otherwise move toward the side of the conveyor during transportation.
Technical Construction
EXTRUTEX Belt Conveyors are built around a mechanical frame supporting the belt, drive system and conveying surface. The design shown for the SCB series provides a compact industrial structure that can be incorporated into a production line without requiring a large installation area.
The belt width is one of the primary selection parameters. A 200 mm belt is suitable for narrower products and compact conveying applications, while 300, 400 and 500 mm versions provide progressively wider conveying surfaces. The appropriate width should be selected according to the product dimensions, required clearance, production rate and the available installation space.
Conveyor height is another important consideration. Since production machines do not always have the same discharge and receiving height, an adjustable conveyor structure can simplify installation and alignment. EXTRUTEX can also discuss customized conveyor dimensions where the standard configuration does not match a particular line layout.

Applications
EXTRUTEX Belt Conveyors can be configured for a wide range of industrial material-handling applications, including:
- Plastic extrusion production lines
- PVC, PE, PP and other polymer processing plants
- Injection molded product conveying
- Plastic profile and component handling
- Recycling and material recovery systems
- Packaging and collection stations
- Inspection and sorting workstations
- Transfer between processing equipment
- Automatic production-line material handling
- General industrial conveying of suitable products and materials
For plastics manufacturers, the conveyor can be positioned as an independent transfer unit or integrated into a larger automated system. The final configuration depends on product geometry, temperature, weight, production speed, conveying distance and the interface between upstream and downstream equipment.
How to Select the Correct Belt Conveyor
Selecting a conveyor should begin with the material being transported. Product dimensions, surface characteristics, temperature, weight and production quantity all influence the required belt width and conveyor arrangement. A narrow belt may be sufficient for small components, while larger products may require a wider conveying surface.
The second consideration is conveying speed. The standard SCB models provide a speed range of 0–9.5 m/min, while the SCB-T models are specified at 5.5 m/min. Where synchronization with another machine is required, the speed should be matched to the upstream and downstream production process. A speed governor can be used on the SCB configuration to provide adjustable conveying speed.
Installation height and available floor space should also be considered. The standard SCB configuration provides an adjustable height range, while the SCB-T configuration has a specified overall height of 1260 mm in the listed models. If the required conveyor length differs from the standard configuration, EXTRUTEX can manufacture the belt conveyor according to the customer's required length.
Finally, the electrical supply and machine configuration should be checked before ordering. SCB models in the listed specification use 1-phase 220 V and 60 W power, whereas SCB-T models use 3-phase 380 V and 180 W power. Customers should confirm the local electrical standard and complete technical requirements with EXTRUTEX before final production.
Austria Design, Manufactured in China
EXTRUTEX develops its equipment around an Austria Design approach, combining European-oriented engineering requirements with efficient manufacturing capabilities in China. The belt conveyor range is manufactured in EXTRUTEX facilities in Nanjing and Shanghai, China.
This manufacturing structure allows EXTRUTEX to supply practical conveying equipment for international plastics-processing projects while supporting customization for different production layouts. Customers can specify conveyor length and discuss belt width, height, configuration and additional requirements according to the application.
EXTRUTEX focuses on supplying complete plastics-processing equipment and auxiliary systems, allowing belt conveyors to be considered as part of a broader production solution rather than as an isolated machine. Where required, conveyor specifications can be coordinated with extrusion machinery, downstream equipment and material-handling systems.
Customized Belt Conveyor Solutions
Every production plant has its own layout. For this reason, conveyor length is not necessarily limited to the standard dimensions shown in the table. EXTRUTEX can customize the conveyor length according to customer requirements. Before production, the customer should provide the required conveying distance, product dimensions, approximate product weight, target conveying speed, discharge and receiving heights, installation space and electrical requirements.
Additional design considerations may include side guides, baffle plates, collection containers, special mounting arrangements, different working heights and integration with automatic production equipment. The purpose of customization is to create a conveyor that fits naturally into the production line and minimizes unnecessary manual handling.
Integration into Automated Production Lines
Belt conveyors are an important link between individual machines. A production line may contain an extruder, cutting equipment, inspection equipment, sorting equipment and packaging equipment, all operating at different positions and speeds. The conveyor provides a controlled transfer path between these stages.
When integrated correctly, the conveyor can help maintain a more organized material flow and reduce unnecessary operator movement. The conveyor speed can be selected or adjusted according to the process, while the height and length can be coordinated with the surrounding machines. For automated systems, the conveyor can also form part of a wider material-handling concept in which products move continuously from production to collection or packaging.
Maintenance and Operation
Routine inspection is important for any continuously operating conveying system. Operators should regularly check the belt condition, drive components, support structure, wheels where fitted, electrical connections and the general alignment of the conveying surface. The conveyor should be kept clean and free from accumulated material that could interfere with normal operation.
The actual maintenance schedule depends on operating hours, conveyed material and the surrounding production environment. If the conveyor is used with abrasive, hot, heavy or irregular products, the operating conditions should be considered when establishing inspection intervals. Before maintenance work, the machine should be stopped and isolated from its power source in accordance with the plant's safety procedures.
